In this beautiful home built on the
site of the old medieval St Etienne priory, monks found
shelter in 1568 when their monastery called " St Jean en
Vallée " was destroyed by fire, and remained there until
the French Revolution.
Then the Chartres diocesan seminary
settled in these walls up the time when, in the past few years,
the Diocese turned it into a guesthouse for pilgrims or
visitors with any religious, cultural or leisure purpose.
